Update: Looks like your Twine will need 2.0.2 for the external temperature sensor to function properly. Save your rules, and you'll get the update. If that doesn't fix it, let us know.
You're probably not doing anything wrong! I'm having the developers look into it. Can you send an email to help at supermechanical with the ID for the Twine you're using it with?
The May 24 version of the radio firmware allows Twines to connect to hidden networks. To update your Twine, go to your account page, and click on "Upgrade to 2.0" under "Your Twines".
You can read more about the update here: http://supermechanical.…
25º C is the place holding temperature when you click "test URL" for HTTP requests, but it should have the correct temperature when it's being triggered normally. Email us at help at supermechanical if that's not what's happening!
Comparing temperatures is a great idea, we'll think about adding that in the future.
The rest of the sensors are still just 1/0, we'll be adding analog support in the next firmware update.
The LED flashes once when a rule is triggered. When it's flashing, it's reconnecting to your wireless network.
You can read more about what the LEDs blinking patterns mean here:http://help.supermechanical.com/kb/getting-started/what-do-the-lights-bl…
Twine can only be registered on one account at a time. If you email help@supermechanical.com from the email address the Twine is registered under, we can delete it from your account, and it can be set up as new.
Twine's batteries will last a few more days after you get the low battery email. Since it's not an urgent request to replace batteries, we only send out emails, but we may be able to add other options in the future.
Jim, I responded to your email in help on 6/7. Maybe it got caught in a spam filter? I just resent your Twine the update. Power cycling it now should do the trick. Email us again if it didn't.
There's no set number or rules, but memory usually maxes out around 12/13. It depends on the length of the message (having the same notification string for all rules will take up less space).
Dan, you can find out what firmware your Twine is using by hovering your cursor over your Twine's name on the dashboard. Current is May 24 and 2.0.0. Looks like you've got the latest. The share button is on the top right of the dashboard, where it sa…
There was a problem with compiling rules (and the update) last night, was fixed this morning. If you had the issue and now your Twine's not working properly, send an email to us (help@supermechanical.com), and we'll get it working again.
Mark and Alan, it looks like your Twines have the update now. Mark, if you get stuck during set up again, try following these steps.
Alan, thanks for letting us know, we did a lot of testing on Airports, and never had any crashes! In general, if thi…
We got your email and responded there as well, but for posterity's sake (and in case others are curious), compile errors won't brick your Twine. It's a symptom of rules not being able to save properly.
Any microUSB cable that is certified for charging will work. We regularly use old cell phone chargers, you shouldn't have any problems with old iPhone style USB charger (just make sure it's USB to microUSB, not miniUSB).
Hey James, your Twine runs on 2 types of firmware. The ARM firmware (which is the one it said you needed) also saves when you save a rule. It looks like your Twine has the most up to date version of that firmware (1.3.1).
The radio firmware we updat…
Is your Twine spending a lot of time in fast mode? That will drain the batteries quickly. Send us an email at help at supermechanical.com and we can do some more troubleshooting.
We're working on getting documentation organized in a more intuitive manner (and creating more of it)!
To include the temperature, you just need to click the temperature button in the bottom of the message box (right now, the temperature can only be…
