Sorry for the delay, I was waiting on an official response from the engineers.
There is a 4.7k resistor on the twine PCB that is used for a pull up of the external sensor. We only turn the pull up on briefly when looking at the state of the external …
Barry's got it right, thanks for chiming in.
We know a three day outage is bad news, and even more so with no feedback from us. We're working to make sure it doesn't happen again.
It was a problem on our side. We had some server problems as a result of a change on our server as part of testing a new feature, and sending notifications temporarily got locked up. At the same time, our monitoring app that tells us when things are…
The only way to access your Twine is through twine.supermechanical.com. You can access your Twine's dashboard information and edit rules from any internet connection (just need to log in at twine.supermechanical.com). I don't have any experience wi…
There will be new actions in the future! Pebble notifications are coming next (we're waiting on a few things from Pebble before we can release it).

It's set to send the email when the voltage dips below 2.3V for more than a minute.
If the voltage has popped back up to 2.6, you should be fine not replacing the batteries for a while.
You're right, it shouldn't be that difficult!
A few things here that we'll work on making clearer to avoid confusion in the future: the Wi-Fi signal will only show up when your Twine is in fast mode, so it's normal not to see it; if the battery indi…
You should be able to fit more rules than that on your Twine! We're going to look into what is going on with your Twine, I'll email you when we have an update.
When you click on "Save to Twine", does it give you any feedback?
If you can send the third rule to help@supermechanical.com, we can look into if it would cause any errors.
With those readings, if you set the vibration threshold to 63 milli-gs you should get notifications when you put the key in, and when you close the door. You could set a higher threshold to only get notified when the door closes, or use 63 and under…
Try resaving your rules to get a firmware update, we fixed the external power readings in 1.3.0. Even if your Twine shows the battery levels, it should still be using external power if it is plugged in.
Glad to hear that solved the problem temporarily! John should non-ascii characters working soon.
We attach the Twine bits on the end because Twitter won't let you send out the same Tweet multiple times, so the appendage keeps your tweets from gettin…
You're getting both Tweets because the 1 second rule also gets triggered when the breakout board is closed for 5 seconds. There's no way around this unfortunately.Check out this knowledge base article for more information about how rules work: http:…
It sounds like the issue is that library isn't properly loaded. Read this and install the Twine library using these instructions:http://arduino.cc/en/Guide/LibrariesIf that doesn't fix it, the issue is likely related to the Arduino software program,…

Stephen, your Twine has the latest software now!
This is what we mean by "flip Twine over": http://supermechanical.com/twinesetup/loading-rules-onto-twine.m4v
When your Twine is connected, it will update on the dashboard about every minute and report triggers immediately.
It looks like your Twine isn't getting very good reception, try moving it closer to your router, and seeing if that helps. (if you put…
We're not considering making uses pay to use our website.
We relied on carriers' word for supporting the email gateway SMS method, and the fact that it worked inconsistently for some people wasn't acceptable. So we've invested time into improving th…
