Rules in the cloud, not on the Twine

It seems like loading the rule on the device is cumbersome and unnecessary, when this could be done entirely in the cloud. If you are not near the Twine and want to create a new rule, this would allow it to be implemented instantly.

  • It could be done in the cloud but then it would use so much battery power constantly updating conditions that you would need to keep it always plugged in.
  • The rules need to be on the device, but the actions should be in the cloud.
  • Agreed, the rules need to be device based, and rule triggers can be communicated to a cloud server for computationally heavy execution. This would also solve some of the problems a number of us seem to be experiencing; we can see what our Twine is doing on the dashboard, but SMS and email notifications don't work.
