Cloud Shield output

I am interested in the specifics of the Cloud Shield. Since it is connected to digital pins on the Arduino, is is possible to also receive data from internet applications through the shield? Stated another way, is it possible for the Arduino to be an output device from a Twine program, or is it merely a wonderfully complicated sensor?

Thanks.

  • It's a wonderfully complicated sensor. (Or as complicated as you want it to be.) Twine is asleep most of the time to conserve power and listens for new rules and updates every 2 hours, so it's not a very good way to get data from the Internet.

There's more details on the shield at supermechanical.com/cloudshield/guide.html
