Unable to insert mini USB connector

The mini USB cables I have don't fit the receptacle on the twine. My connector has a corner on the side as the side progress from wide to narrow, while the twine appears smooth and oval. Is there more than one type of Mini USB?

The twine aux power port is a micro, not a mini.

You can buy an adapter or a micro cable or micro-pin'd supply fairly easily, tho.
