What do "Flip me upside down" and "Turn me over" actually mean?

Can someone please clarify...

Do you have to put the Twine in a specific orientation to trigger Fast mode, and Saving of rules?

Or is it simply enough to CHANGE orientation to cause the trigger?

From my limited experience, the saving of rules is automatic if you turn Twine to the "setup" position.  That is, if you can read the setup instructions from a bird's eye view, your Twine is "over."  Once the rules have been saved (you actually get a progress bar), you can place it right side up.  I'm still experimenting with it being in a vertical position but I hope this helps.

Sorry for the ambiguity. Omar's correct. To trigger fast mode or saving rules, turn Twine from any orientation to the orientation where the instructions are facing up. It only needs to be bottom-side up for a moment. Here's a video for you:
