Here's a windows based script I wrote: https://github.com/YoYo-Pete/Twine/blob/master/getStatus.vbs
Note you need to know your twine's ID just as in the shell script.
I wanted to use WinHttp but didnt get it working so I used the IE object. Jus…
This thread shows how you can use a browser or JSON client to query your latest stats and also force the server to poll your twine.

@mark - This is the community forum not the support forum. I expect the person with the issue would work with support and relay information back to the community. That's what I do.
When I view the source of my Twine page, I found the ID. It's found in a list item:
< li>
< a href="/ruleset/00001a111a111a11">YoYo-Twine< /a>
< /li>
I changed numbers to 1 and letters to a for the example. YoYo-Twine i…
Ah... but still I can make a programmatic query instead of waiting for the notification push. Even if it's not a direct to the device query, it still allows me to query the last known state of the device instead of waiting for the push.
So you are saying is if I trap the GET request from my twine and get the value of my twine I can hit that URL to make a JSON query to the device instead of waiting for push notification?
The issue is that you are using 'apples' service. Which is their server. I'm guessing it's a free service?
So I'm guessing they can do what they want legally. It's not like the post where it's a government provided utility service that we pay to…
I dont either, but I also send e-mail on my trigger, which I do received. I understand it sends both at once, so the ownness is on the TMo gateway not working.
Oh... to answer Nic, it uses your First and Last name here as the name and the address is like this "twine+00001a111a111a11@supermechanical.net" (the 1's and a's are random numbers and letters)
IFTTT provides better notification capabilities (true SMS instead of email to SMS, and voice phone calls). Plus you can integrate it with all kinds of other services. I plan to use it to alert me when my front door is open, or when the temperatu…
Twine will push data out using the RBS. But what if we have a way to poll twine for current metrics. Poll it any maybe it returns a JSON array with what all connected/integrated sensors are reading.
I dont think the RBS really supports that type of functionality. What we need is the ability to leverage variables in the output.
Example: When mag switch is open, email this: 'Dog door open. Current temp is #TEMPERATURE#'
And ideally twine…
Not with current functionality of the RBS.
If you wired the GET request into a server, you could then have more complex rules run there. For example, say you had a PHP server somewhere. You could create a page that the GET calls when the mag …
I have the same issue/question Bill. I send SMS and email with the magnetic switch sensor. email seems reliable but the SMS does not.

You cant. Google doesnt provide an email gateway for SMS. Twine servers dont actually send SMS, they send e-mail to provider's SMS gateways, which in my case of google voice and t-mobile services, means I rarely get the alert.
They said they are …
